All USADF core grantees must complete obligatory monitoring and evaluation (M&E) training at the start of their grants. The training is aimed at the cooperative’s M&E committee, which comprises farmer representatives, board members, and management employees.
The monitoring and evaluation training is designed to assist grantees in setting goals, and performance indicators, and tracking performance during project execution. The goals and indicators are set both at the farmer level and at the cooperative level.
The monitoring and evaluation committee is trained and supported throughout the M&E training to create goals, identify indicators, and develop a monitoring plan to track performance throughout the project.
Uganda Development Trust, the USADF implementing partner in Uganda, provides the training as part of its business development services delivery to guarantee that each grantee project meets its objectives.
